There were six positive results at the weekend in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League, sponsored by Everards.
Lutterworth and Kibworth both recorded 25-point wins at Hinckley Town and Thorpe Arnold respectively to remain in the top two.
Aadil Ali took 2-15 and then hit 29 as Kibworth bowled out Thorpe for 134 before knocking off the runs for the loss of two wickets.
Seamer Darren Cader picked up four wickets for Lutterworth as Hinckley were dismissed for 178 before Alec Hill (60 not out) and Matt Pickering (43) batted well to keep the team a point clear of Kibworth at the top.
Jigar Naik shone as Sileby landed a 65-run against Kegworth to stay in the title race. Naik scored 73 batting at number three and then took 2-35 from his ten overs.
There was an emphatic win for Leicester Ivanhoe as opening bowlers Niall Lafferty (6-15) and Imran Khan (3-30) ripped through Market Harborough. Academy player Sam Evans smashed 36 as the team knocked off their target of 48 for the loss of one wicket inside nine overs.
A really good game developed between local rivals Loughborough Town and Barrow Town, with the home side keeping a hold on fourth position in the league.
Half-centuries from Aleem Mahmood and Shyam Patel helped Loughborough put 255-9 on the board. Although Prakash Modha took 4-36, contributions from Sandeep Salgotra (59), Stan Galloway (49) and Tim Taylor (47) helped the visitors edge home by two wickets in the penultimate over.
In the other game in the division, Rothley were bowled out for 111 and Syston chased down their target for the loss of two wickets down inside 18 overs.
