Leicestershire CCC is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former Communications Manager Nick Lucy.

Nick worked at the club from 2005 to 2008, working hard to increase the club’s profile as well as producing content for the media channels and looking after the press and radio broadcasters at Grace Road.

He also spent time with Nottingham Forest and Stoke City as part of a successful career in football that took in spells covering the Midlands region for National newspapers.

Nick’s most recent role was as a PR Director at Reach Marketing Communications, and he also worked as a freelance journalist and PR specialist as part of a successful career.

Head Coach Paul Nixon worked alongside Nick. He said: “It is such sad news that Nick has passed away suddenly, he was a good friend and worked tirelessly for the Foxes.

“All of our thoughts and condolences at Leicestershire County Cricket Club are with Nick’s wife Caroline and the children, as well as Nick’s friends.”

Nick’s wife Caroline also worked at Leicestershire County Cricket Club as Commercial Manager. The club’s thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Caroline and all of Nick’s family and friends.
