One Night of Neil

Leicestershire County Cricket Club are thrilled to announce the first major West End show coming to the Uptonsteel County Ground in summer 2022.

An incredible collection of Stars from London’s West End, backed by a phenomenal 9-piece band are to perform in ‘One night of Neil’, a magical tribute concert celebrating the wonderful music of Neil Diamond at Leicester’s Premier Outdoor Venue on Friday, September 2, 2022.

Fifty years on from Neil’s legendary ‘Hot August Night’ concerts in 1972 ‘One night of Neil’ is set to be an extraordinary celebration of one of the world’s greatest singer-songwriters.

We’ve assembled an expert team, drawn from the worlds of rock and roll & West End theatre to create a stunning show, worthy of the man himself!

Featuring dozens of his greatest hits including ‘Sweet Caroline, Forever In Blue Jeans & Cracklin’ Rosie’ and perhaps even some that only the die-hard fans will know and love, this is a concert no Neil fan should miss!

Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s Head of Marketing & Consumer Sales Jack Bradley said: “It is great to confirm our second concert event taking place at the Uptonsteel County Ground next summer, following the recently announced Paloma Faith concert taking place in July.

“The West End shows have proven to be extremely popular and we can’t wait to host ‘One Night of Neil’ which is sure to be a spectacular evening.”

This concert will be a fully seated show and tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 12th November via the Leicestershire County Cricket Club website.
