Opening T20 Fixtures Sold Out

Leicestershire County Cricket Club announce that the opening three home T20 Vitality Blast fixtures of the 2021 campaign are sold out.

The fixtures are; Derbyshire Falcons (11 June), Durham Cricket (13 June) and Birmingham Bears (16 June) each hosted at the Uptonsteel County Ground. All tickets are SOLD OUT for each of the three fixtures, along with hospitality tickets and boxes.  

The announcement comes after the Club have received confirmation of restrictions on capacity, that will be imposed as part of the phased return of spectators to live sporting events.

The Club can guarantee all supporters who purchased a T20 Blast Pass entry for each of the three fixtures.

There are a small number of fans who purchased individual match tickets who will be offered tickets to alternative fixtures, post June 21. The fans impacted will receive an email from Ticketmaster in the coming days with instructions as to how to transfer their tickets.

“Our capacity for the opening three T20 fixtures is lower than we originally anticipated. It is disappointing, but the safety of everyone at the club is paramount. We are continuing to adhere to the guidelines provided by both Government and the ECB.

“We now expect demand for the final four group fixtures to increase dramatically and therefore encourage supporters wishing to enjoy some T20 cricket this summer to buy their tickets online as soon as possible.”

After June 21, when the UK Government are planning to further ease restrictions, the available capacity of the Uptonsteel County Ground is set to increase. It is understood that the new capacity will still be below the total capacity of the ground.

Demand for the Running Foxes final four T20 Vitality Blast group fixtures against Yorkshire Vikings (June 25), Northamptonshire Steelbacks (June 29), Notts Outlaws (July 16) and Worcestershire Falcons (July 18) already high, supporters are advised to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
