NatWest T20 Blast Matchday Information – Nottinghamshire Outlaws, Friday, July 24 (Gates open at 4pm, 5.30pm start)
Weather/Refund Policy
The latest news, at 6.10pm, is that it has stopped raining and umpires Steve Gale and Neil Mallender have inspected the ground. It is still very wet underfoot at Grace Road and a further inspection is planned for 6.45pm.
Earlier in the day, it was announced that there would be a delayed start at Grace Road as it was still raining heavily and persistently at 4.30pm.
A 5-over game can be played as a minimum and that could start at 6pm with no overs lost at that stage, so the official cut-off point is shortly before 8pm. Please note that there may not be an abandonment until that time.
We will be live tweeting updates from the umpires as and when we get them, so please make sure that you are following us on Twitter - @leicsccc
If play is restricted to fewer than 10 overs because of adverse weather conditions and no result is obtained, then you may claim a cash refund (less an Admin Charge of £1 per ticket).
Alternatively, you can exchange your match ticket for another match ticket that will admit you to a Royal London 50 group game.
The full refund policy is available HERE
For any enquiries relating to the weather, please call 0116 283 2128 and dial zero for prospects of play or check our twitter feed - @leicsccc
We are planning that a full fixture will take place and here is some general information. Please note that the weather may affect some of these plans, such as the food, drink and entertainment, so they are subject to change:
Ticket collection
All remaining tickets will go on sale on the gates priced £20 adults and £3 for under 16s.
Our ticket collection point will be situated outside the ground on Curzon Road. Please note that if you brought tickets on or after Wednesday, they will be available to pick up at our collection point just outside the ground on Curzon Road from 4pm.
Gate opening times
The gates will open at 4pm.
Car parking
If you haven't booked a space at Grace Road in advance, car parking is available for FREE at Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium, which is a 10-15 minute walk from Grace Road. The postcode for this facility is LE2 7NQ.
Volunteers
We have a group of dedicated volunteers working at Grace Road. If you have any questions, please just ask a member of the team or a steward and they will be delighted to assist with your enquiry.
Food and Drink
Butter chicken curry, fast food and salads will be available to buy in the Charles Palmer Suite. A barbecue and ice cream is available to purchase at the Bennett End of the ground. The fast food unit will also be in place in the usual spot between the Meet and Charles Palmer Suite.
There will be a café and bar open upstairs in the Meet, and ice cream and soft drinks can be purchased on the lower floor.
Hot food, snacks and soft drinks can also be purchased near to the Red Monkey Play Area and there will be a mobile ice cream unit operating on the ground too.
There is a temporary bar at the Pavilion End to supplement the bar in the Charles Palmer Suite and the Fox Bar, and another is in place next to the Geary Stand. Bottled beers are available to purchase outside at the Bennett End while the Bennett End bar is open for draught beers, spirits and wine.
Merchandise
Our Official Kit Supplier Kukri Sports will have a stand set up at the Pavilion End, near to main reception, where replica shirts and Foxes merchandise can be purchased.
Entertainment
There will be a live band playing in the Charles Palmer Suite this evening.
We plan to set up a FanZone after the game where young supporters can meet their favourite Foxes players, have selfies and get autographs. Make sure you send your best photos to us on social media using the hashtag #FoxesFanZone
Our Red Monkey Play Area will be available for free throughout the evening, and there are lots of NatWest T20 Blast giveaways available for supporters as you arrive – look out for 4/6 cards, autograph posters, headbands, fixture bats, stickers and t-shirts!
