Leicestershire CCC is proud to welcome the Pass it On Leicester campaign to Grace Road on the first day of the penultimate LV=CC game of the season against Essex (Monday, September 14).
The Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign has joined with Anthony Nolan to bring together communities across Leicester and Leicestershire and raise awareness about blood cancer on each day in September.
Along with 30 other organisations in the city, we are holding a registration drive and receiving and passing on a special flag that will reach Leicester Royal Infirmary at the end of the month.
The flag has been signed by Leicestershire players and made an appearance back at Grace Road on September 1, when Rik and the team visited every one of their venues to start off the campaign.
Leicestershire CCC seamer Clint McKay was on hand during the launch event, which was the first day of our LV=CC match against Gloucestershire. Clint met Rik and campaign volunteers to have a photograph that was taken just outside the Mike Turner Indoor Centre.
The Anthony Nolan stem cell donor register can be filled in by anyone between aged 16-30. You could help to save a life by registering.
