Pinner in form for Seconds

Leicestershire Second XI were involved in a comfortable win and a close defeat in the two T20 games against Northamptonshire at Grace Road today.
Neil Pinner made 69 not out off 49 balls (50 came off 41 deliveries, 4x4) and Aadil Ali, Lewis Hill, Rob Sayer and Zak Chappell all posted scores in the 20s as the Seconds put 172-3 on the board.
Wickets were shared as Northants ended on 130-9, opening bowlers Ollie Freckingham and Alex Wyatt claiming two apiece and Sayer, Pinner, Conor Harvey and Archie Ogden also got themselves on the scoresheet.
Ben Duckett hit 99 off just 54 balls as Northants racked up 192-6 in the second match, Pinner and Ogden both claiming a brace of wickets apiece. Left arm spinner Will Holmes (4-0-21-0) was the most economical bowler for Leicestershire.
The Seconds got close thanks to good knocks by Hill (44 off 26 balls), Pinner (43 off 29 balls), Ali (36 off 17 balls), Sayer (26 not out off 22 balls) and Harvey (24 off 12 balls) but ended on 190-6. Northants restricted the team to a single off the last ball when a boundary was required.
