Lutterworth are masters of the close finish and they remain hot on Kibworth’s heels after an impressive 30-point victory at Rothley Park.
The visitors scored 239-9 and then dismissed Rothley for 221 with just six balls to go of an absorbing contest. Overseas player Akash Fotedar starred for Lutterworth with a four-wicket haul.
Kibworth still top the table after an emphatic nine-wicket win at Hinckley Town/CCA.
Craig Crowe and Matt Parker scored half-centuries as the hosts set Kibworth 207 and the visitors won by nine wickets as captain Matt Craven (82*) and overseas player Pite van Biljoen (111*) batted beautifully.
Atif Sheikh took the one Kibworth wicket to fall, that of the in-form Raja Hayat, and finished with good figures of 1-34 from his eight overs.
Kegworth Town had a thrilling one-wicket win against a Loughborough Town side who had recorded three successive maximum point hauls.
Rishi Patel’s unbeaten 82 helped Loughborough post 254-9 but despite Tom Wells taking 2-18, Kegworth got home off the penultimate ball.
Syston Town beat Sileby Town in another exciting Premier League contest. Half-centuries from Umar Razzaq and captain Charlie Taylor helped Syston score 217-9.
Sileby were 141-9 but number seven Neil Pullen smashed 72 with eleven fours and two sixes and with the support of Umar Afzal, got them to within one scoring shot of victory.
But Pullen’s heroic innings came to an end as Zahir Taher dismissed him leg before with the score on 213, so Syston won by four runs.
Carl Fourie snared 3-27 from ten overs and Razzaq followed his exploits with the bat by claiming 3-39 from nine. Academy player George Corbett scored 20 and took 1-40 for Syston.
Leicestershire Young Cricketer Yuvraj Odedra made 97 in a brilliant opening stand of 200 with captain Ramesh Kara as Barrow Town beat Market Harborough.
The visitors did well to restrict Barrow to 299 after Odedra and Kara had made hay, Lawrence Perry and Josh Bott claiming nine wickets between them.
Harborough had a decent opening stand of their own as Sam Williams and Zain Mir put on 93 but they were eventually bowled out for 201 in the penultimate over of the match.
