Players Confirm Attendance to 'Celebration of Trophies' Evening

We are delighted to announce 12 members of the 1996 County Championship and 2011 T20 triumphant squads have confirmed their attendance to our Celebration of Trophies evening.

Wednesday, September 22, 2021 marked the 25th anniversary of that momentous day where the Running Foxes were victorious over Middlesex CCC by an innings and 74 runs at Grace Road.

Former players including Paul Nixon, Vince Wells, Adrian Pierson, and Darren Maddy will be in attendance during the Anniversary Dinner. 

The evening will also look back at the 2011 T20 success, in which Josh Cobb’s 4 for 22 spearheaded the Leicestershire attack after the batting line-up struggled to 145 for six.

Foxes legend, Paul Nixon stole the headlines for his outrageous grab of Kieron Pollard for 1 off the bowling of Wayne White.

Nixon will be on the panel for the scheduled Q&A session to take place during the T20 celebrations, and will be joined by Jeremy Snape and Claude Henderson.
