Leicestershire Second XI amassed 415-4 against a strong Warwickshire Second XI in the Championship game at Moseley.
Young batsmen Eben Kurtz and Jason Marshall got the team off to a terrific start after Neil Pinner won the toss, putting on 116 for the first wicket.
Kurtz was first to 50 from 85 balls with nine fours and Marshall also progressed to a patient half-century from 135 deliveries with seven boundaries.
The alliance came to an end as Kurtz was trapped leg before by Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Pinner (18) was then run out by a direct hit from Will Porterfield having put on 48 with Marshall.
Marshall was held by Porterfield at slip as Mark Adair struck with the score on 180 before a superb partnership of 169 between Aadil Ali and Dan Redfern.
The left-hander’s 50 came off just 66 balls and included six fours and a six while Ali also recorded a 98-ball half-century (3x4, 2x6).
Ali was caught at mid-on by Adair off Brinder Phagura before keeper Michael Burgess made 42 not out in unbroken stand of 66 with Redfern, whose attractive hundred came off 113 balls and included fifteen fours and a maximum.
