Angus Robson and James Burke shared 93 for the second wicket as the intra-squad game ended in a draw on the final day.
Team Eckersley had 40 overs to bat with a target of 299 and ended at 173-5 as progress was regularly checked by Rob Sayer (13-1-62-3).
At the start of a morning that was cool before seeing increasing amounts of sun, Harry Dearden partnered Robson at the top of the order and scored 17 before being bowled by Tom Wells.
Robson and Burke then joined forces to good effect, with the former posting 82 off 94 balls and Burke adding 46 at exactly a run a ball.
Both batsmen were dismissed by Sayer’s off-spin, with Robson holing out to Charlie Shreck in the covers before Burke was bowled.
The other wickets to fall were Eckersley (9), who was brilliantly caught one-handed at the wicket by a diving Hill after a super away-swinger from Shreck. Sayer then struck for a third time, getting one through the defences of Zak Chappell (2).
Paul Horton (10 not out) and Callum Parkinson (3*) were the unbeaten batsmen when the 40-over allocation came to an end.
All-rounder Burke bowled a couple of overs before the innings came to an end with the game proving another good workout ahead of Tuesday’s first-class opener against Loughborough MCCU.
Bowling figures (Team Wells): Griffiths 8-3-31-0, Shreck 7-3-16-1, Wells 4-1-18-1, Sayer 13-1-62-3, Sykes 6-0-39-0, Burke 2-1-3-0.
