Roy Bent appointed as Chairman

Leicestershire CCC is pleased to announce that Roy Bent has become the new Chairman of the Club.

Roy, who recently had a period in the position of Interim Chief Executive, resumed his position on the Board of Directors on Tuesday when Chief Executive Karen Rothery started her new role at the Fischer County Ground.

Then, in a meeting of the Board of Directors yesterday, Roy was voted in as the new Chairman of the Club to succeed Paul Haywood.

Leicestershire CCC is also pleased to announce the appointment of a Vice-Chair, with Mehmooda Duke MBE DL taking up her new role with immediate effect.

There have been a few changes at the club with former Leicestershire CCC player and coach Jack Birkenshaw MBE taking over as President from David Wilson CBE DL, while Mehmooda, Chris Tinbergen and Sean Jarvis have joined the Board of Directors.

Former Foxes player Matthew Boyce, Geoff Milnes and John Thorpe have also joined Leicestershire CCC as Board Advisors.
