Running Foxes announce 2021 pre-season schedule

Leicestershire County Cricket Club can announce that the Club will step-up their preparations for the 2021 season with a number of pre-season friendlies as well as the annual MCCU fixture.
The fixtures will all take place before the season opener against Hampshire CCC at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
The Running Foxes will kick off their pre-season with back-to-back home fixtures against Derbyshire CCC (Thursday, March 25, 2021) and Loughborough MCCU (Monday, March 29, 2021) respectively.
The fixture against Derbyshire is a 2-day friendly, where both teams will expect to bat on one day, and bowl on the other.
The Loughborough MCCU fixture will take the normal format of a three-day match, however, it will not carry the status of a first-class fixture as it has previously.
Away friendly fixtures against Nottinghamshire CCC at Trent Bridge (Friday, April 2, 2021) and Northamptonshire CCC at Wantage Road (Sunday, April 4, 2021) will then follow and lead into the beginning of the 2021 LV= Insurance County Championship season.
All of the four pre-season fixtures will be played as a red ball contests and behind closed doors.
