Running Foxes Announce 2022 Pre-Season Fixtures

Leicestershire County Cricket Club can confirm the Club’s pre-season fixture arrangements for the 2022 season, with a two-day friendly at home to Northamptonshire rounding off a busy preparation period.
The Running Foxes will host their fellow East Midlands outfit for a two-day game at Uptonsteel County Ground (Wednesday, 23 March), before the annual MCCU fixture “ this year against Leeds/Bradford UCCE (Monday, 28 March).
The matches will take place following the squad’s return from their warm weather training camp in Desert Springs next week.
The friendly against Northamptonshire is expected to see each team bat on one day and bowl on the other, while the Leeds/Bradford UCCE fixture will follow the traditional three-day format “ again not carrying first-class status.
Both fixtures, as well as the trip to Desert Springs, will support the Running Foxes in ramping up their preparations for the 2022 campaign ahead of the LV= Insurance County Championship opener against Worcestershire (Thursday, 7 April).
Entry to Uptonsteel County Ground is free for each day of our two pre-season matches, with play due to start at 11am.
