Running Foxes to host Lightning Cricket Match

Leicestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to be hosting a Lightning Cricket Match at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Saturday, 10 July 2021.
The fixture will see Lightning Cricket take on Central Sparks in a T20 match as part of the new Women’s Regional T20 competition.
The announcement comes during Women’s Big Cricket Month, which takes place in June. The aim of the campaign is to give more women and girls the opportunity to play, follow or attend cricket in 2021.
After a tough opening weekend in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophy, with losses against Southern Vipers and Northern Diamonds, Lightning bounced back and delivered two wins over North-West Thunder and Eastern Sunrisers respectively.
The new tournament restructure has brought in a new wave of excitement towards women’s cricket and there is no better time to be involved and support your regional team!
The fixture begins at 2:30pm on Saturday, 10 July 2021, with tickets available to purchase now through Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced at £10 for Adults and £5 for Concession.
