The current circumstances the Club operate within are continuing to be difficult, with one stand out challenge being the restricted capacity at the Uptonsteel County Ground.
Following analysis by the Ticketing team at the Club, there has been a percentage of all seats for Leicestershire Foxes home matches in the T20 Vitality Blast competition, not being claimed by Members.
Following the UK Government extending COVID restrictions until July 19, this results in the Club having to continue to operate with a restricted capacity for the remaining group T20 fixtures this season. As a result, the Club have taken all remaining tickets off sale and are implementing a roll-back policy as demand has exceeded capacity.
With a percentage of Members tickets not being used, this has a significant impact on the Club as those unclaimed tickets can be purchased by another fan.
The Club have already been in contact with Members who have not attended any of the first three home matches and have made several other requests for Members to get in touch if they are not planning on using their tickets.
Leicestershire CCC CEO, Sean Jarvis said: “The T20 Vitality Blast competition is a significant revenue generator for the club, from tickets, hospitality to purchases made in the ground.
“As a Club, we need to get as many bums on seats as we possibly can, whilst remaining within the health and safety guidelines. This is hugely important to the Club.
“As we head into the latter part of the season, I ask any Member with a ticket that is not planning to attend, to inform the Club as soon as possible as any spare seat in the ground is vital to us to provide another fan with the opportunity to watch live T20 cricket this season.
“The team have been working tirelessly to contact every Member who hasn’t attended any of the first three games. I look forward to seeing all of our Members and fans supporting the Running Foxes for the remainder of the T20 season.â€
