REPORT | Heavy rain and a sodden outfield meant no play was possible on the second day of the Specsavers County Championship match between Leicestershire CCC and Lancashire CCC at the Fischer County Ground.

Umpires Steve O'Shaughnessy and James Middlebrook inspected regularly, and at one stage prospects improved slightly in the early part of the afternoon, only for substantial, persistent precipitation to return again.

The two teams will try again tomorrow.
