Second XI friendly versus Durham Cricket cancelled

The fixture originally scheduled to be played between Leicestershire Foxes Second XI and Durham Cricket Second XI on Monday, August 9, 2021 has now been cancelled.
The friendly has been cancelled due to player availability for the visitors with both counties having explored other ways of the Uptonsteel County Ground hosting a fixture.
The clash initially lost its official Second XI status after the visitors confirmed that they were sending a younger squad, but now due to player availability in both camps, the fixture has been cancelled.
Leicestershire CCC explored other ways of getting some cricket in, including hosting a second intra-squad fixture, but due to the first XI being in Taunton for their Royal London Cup fixture with Somerset, the Second XI already having reduced numbers and the Academy already in action, the only decision left was to abandon any chance of any cricket taking place.
