Seconds set Warwickshire tough target

Scorecard

Leicestershire Second XI enjoyed another excellent day to remain in control of the Championship game against Warwickshire Second XI at Moseley.

County extended their overnight 414-4 to 483-6 before declaring, Dan Redfern (132) and Michael Burgess (65) taking their fifth wicket stand to 105.

Number three batsman Sam Hain played nicely for 30 as he continued his comeback from injury but his was the top score in WarwickshireÔÇÖs total of 139.

Wyatt (14.1-5-17-3) led the way, Zak Chappell and Aadil Ali took two wickets apiece while Jack Hartley and George Corbett also collected a victim apiece along with Hurt.

Leicestershire looked for quick second innings runs rather than making their hosts follow on and Eben Kurtz (63, 82 balls, 10x4, 1x6) posted his second half-century of the match as the team scored 134-9 declared after 34 overs.

That meant Warwickshire were set 479 to win and they moved to 14 without loss in negotiating four overs before the close.
