When we last met:
The two teams met in the middle of May at the Uptonsteel County Ground, and a rearguard action from the Running Foxes earned a draw in difficult circumstances.
Batting first, Leicestershire posted 210 in their first innings with no player passing 40, while in reply, Sussex managed 450 all out with Tom Clarkâs 138 the highlight for the visitors.
The Foxes batting efforts second time around were improved, with Hassan Azad, Rishi Patel and Harry Swindells all passing 50, while Callum Parkinson notched an extremely valuable 45 to take time out of the match. Hands were shaken with Leicestershire 333/9 in their second innings.
Opposition players to watch:
Captain Tom Haines has had another impressive season with the bat, scoring 580 division two runs so far at an average of over 40 - with runs against Leicestershire last season as well. He will be a key wicket.
With the ball, Henry Crocombe leads a youthful bowling attack and the Sussex man has impressed this season, taking 15 wickets.
Our players to watch:
Colin Ackermann has come into form at the right time with several match winning knocks towards the end of the Blast season, and scoring 116 in his last red ball match - he will be hoping to continue his great form with the bat.
Chris Wright will be looking forward to getting back to red ball action following a break for the T20 season, and the Foxes pacer will be looking for a big display to build on his 15 wickets so far this campaign.
Squad: Ackermann, Azad, Barnes, Evans, Hill, Kimber, Mike, Mulder, Parkinson *, Patel, Swindells +, Walker, Wright.
