Rob Taylor bowled a terrific spell despite Scotland suffering a 148-run defeat to Sri Lanka in their penultimate ICC World Cup game today.
Experienced top order duo Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara both posted attractive centuries to give Sri Lanka a strong platform at the Bellerive Oval.
Taylor, who bowled at both ends of the Sri Lanka innings of 363-9, returned excellent figures of 1-46 from his ten overs.
Scotland were going well with former Leicestershire player Preston Mommsen (60) and Freddie Coleman (70) sharing 118 for the fourth wicket.
Scotland were 162-3 in the 32nd over but Sri Lanka broke the stand and went on to dismiss their opponents for 215. Taylor made 3 batting at number nine.
There is one remaining game for Scotland against hosts Australia, also at Hobart, on Saturday.
