The Foxes Cricket World Cup launch

The beginning of June would have seen Leicestershire in the middle of the cricket season, however in a bid to continue to providing our dedicated Members and fans with their cricket fix, we are launching the Foxes Cricket World Cup.
Over the next three weeks, you will be able to relive some of the incredible performances from the 2019 season as we put our players head-to-head for your votes.
The performances have been chosen by the club and include spells with the bat and ball in-hand across both red and white-ball cricket.
We’ll be reliving innings from the likes of Hassan Azad, Harry Swindells, Lewis Hill and incredible bowling performances from Tom Taylor, Alex Evans and Colin Ackermann.
Each match will be launched across the Leicestershire social channels with voting opening at 10am on Twitter of the day that the match has been launched, so make sure you keep up-to-date to avoid missing a match!
The voting will close at 5pm each day, with the winner of the match announced and going through to the next round. A full line-up is available below in our Foxes Cricket World Cup Wall Chart.

The first match will see Colin Ackermann the batsman come up against Colin Ackermann the bowler!
With the bat, Colin hit 70* at Lord’s last year. That performance will be up against his outstanding World Record breaking bowling performance against Birmingham Bears. Make sure you vote between 10am and 5pm on Monday.

Round of 16 – Monday 8 June – Monday 15 June
Quarter-Finals – Wednesday 17 June – Sunday 20 June
Semi-Finals - Monday 22 June - Wednesday 24 June
Final – Friday 26 June
