Leicestershire County Cricket Club is excited to be screening the family classic Toy Story at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Saturday, August 21 as part of a double header open air cinema event. Toy Story released in 1994 tells a story in a world where anthropomorphic toys come to life when humans are not present, the plot focuses on the relationship between an old-fashioned pull-string cowboy doll named Woody and an astronaut action figure, Buzz Lightyear, as they evolve from rivals competing for the affections of their owner, Andy. You are welcome to bring a picnic and a blanket or deck chairs as you sit back and relax on the cricket outfield as the film is shown on the big screen. We will be offering traditional cinema food and drink so expect to see popcorn, hot dogs, sweet stall and much more on sale so you can enjoy the movie in style! There will also be children’s activities including a bouncy castle and face painting. Gates will open at 12:30pm with the film starting at 2pm. Family tickets are available for £28 (2 adults and 3 children), while individual tickets are priced at £9.50 for adults and £4.50 for children. Please note that prices will increase if there are any tickets available on the day. On-site car parking can be pre-booked for £5 and, due to high demand, we recommend booking in advance.
