Monday, April 30

Update 1 - 9.30am

Good news from the Fischer County Ground this morning. Providing there is no rain, we are all set to start on time. There are 96 overs to be bowled today - we can't make up any additional time on the final day.

 

Sunday, April 29

Update 5 - 1pm

Some good news! Providing there is no further rain, we will start at 1.45pm with a minimum of 71 overs to be bowled. Half an hour has been added to the day's play, so - weather permitting - we'll play through until at least 6.30pm.

Update 4 - 12.15pm

The Umpires have conducted their 12 noon inspection. An early lunch will be taken at 12.20pm and there will be a further inspection at 12.45pm.

Update 3 - 11am

The groundstaff continue to work incredibly hard. There will be a further inspection by umpires Jeff Evans and Michael Gough at 12 noon.

Update 2 - 10am

The umpires will continue to monitor conditions, there will be a further inspection at 11am.

Update 1 - 9.15am

It has stopped raining at the Fischer County Ground and the groundstaff are working tirelessly. Umpires Jeff Evans and Michael Gough have inspected conditions. There will be a delayed start - but the umpires will conduct another inspection at 10am.

 

Saturday, April 28

Update 2 - 12.30pm

We’re in a similar position to yesterday unfortunately. The rain is still falling here and that has left the Umpires with no option but to abandon play for the day. We will provide an update on conditions in the morning - fingers crossed for better weather.

Update 1 - 9.30am

There will be a delayed start to the second day's play of the Specsavers County Championship fixture between Leicestershire CCC and Derbyshire CCC because of heavy rain. An early lunch will take place at 12 noon and the Umpires will inspect conditions after lunch.

 

Friday, April 27

Update 3 - 12.30pm

The rain is still falling here and that has left the Umpires with no option but to abandon play for the day. We hope for better weather tomorrow.

Update 2 - 10.30am

Umpires Jeff Evans and Michael Gough have inspected conditions at the Fischer County Ground. It is still raining and an early lunch will be taken at 12 noon.
