Leicestershire County Cricket Club held the latest Virtual Members Forum yesterday evening to provide Members the opportunity to hear about progress, both on and off the pitch, ahead of the new season.
The evening, hosted on Zoom, welcomed over 65 members onto the Forum, which is the club’s highest attendance to date.
The Forum was hosted by Chair Mehmooda Duke MBE DL, Head Coach Paul Nixon, CEO Sean Jarvis and other members of the Board of Directors and staff at the club.
The club’s five key pillars of Cricket, Commercial, Community, Company and Cash were all discussed to update members as to what activities have been happening over the winter months.
Mehmooda Duke MBE DL opened the evening with an update, followed by CEO Sean Jarvis who gave an overview of activities across the Club.
Head Coach Paul Nixon then provided a cricket update, emphasising that the team are in fantastic condition and are eagerly keen to begin the season.
Board Director Steve Kind provided a brief financial update as the Club continues to operate in difficult times.
Chris Tinbergen then provided an update regarding the Commercial activities.
Although the season is due to begin behind closed doors, the club will continue to monitor and work with the Government and the ECB to work towards the return to fans, when it is safe to do so.
Finally, the evening concluded with a brief Q&A session with Club captain Colin Ackermann and Club vice-captain Callum Parkinson.
The next Members Forum details will be circulated in due course.
Members are reminded that the AGM is due to take place on Tuesday 30, March at 7:30pm. This will be a virtual AGM, hosted on Zoom.
