Griffiths hit Abbott for a couple of boundaries before the South African exacted his revenge, claiming his fifth wicket of the contest after pinning the Running Foxes seamer infront for 16.

Alex Evans emerged from the pavilion to join Wright (30*) at the crease with Leicestershire on 292 for nine.

Wright was looking in decent touch as the boundaries continued to flow for the pace man and he began to start thinking about his half-century.
