Vitality Blast Ticketing Update 16/06/2021

Following the latest UK Government announcement on Monday evening of a four-week extension of Covid-19 restrictions, Leicestershire County Cricket Club have confirmation that all remaining T20 fixtures will continue to be played in front of a restricted capacity crowd.

The Running Foxes play Birmingham Bears this evening, followed by home fixtures against Yorkshire Vikings and Northamptonshire Steelbacks on June 25 and June 29, respectively. The final two group home fixtures see visits from Notts Outlaws and Worcestershire Rapids on July 16 and July 18, respectively.

With tickets having been on sale for several weeks, sales have already exceeded the restricted capacity now being imposed for the last four home T20 matches. Unfortunately, this results in a number of Foxes fans not being able to enjoy all the cricket they requested tickets for.

All ticket purchasers for the remaining T20 Vitality Blast fixtures have been contacted already. The Club will be communicating with purchasers again over the next few days with more detailed information.

Leicestershire CCC, Consumer Sales Manager, Chris Tinbergen said: “Monday’s announcement is clearly a blow for the Club and our supporters. We are now facing the prospect of having to implement our Rollback Policy and whilst we are trying to give everyone the opportunity to watch live cricket, unfortunately there will be some supporters disappointed.

"More detailed information will be released over the next few days”.

The Club have also issued a plea to any supporters who are Blast Pass holders who are unable to attend any of the remaining T20 games, to advise the Club so that their seats can be re-cycled to other supporters.

Chris said: “It is really important that we fill every available seat in the Uptonsteel County Ground. Any supporters who unable to attend a fixture, that have tickets, are advised to let the club know as soon as possible so we can assist another supporter who wishes to attend."

The club would like to thank all members and supporters for their continued patience and support throughout what remains to be a challenging time.
