Leicester City legend Steve Walsh has been confirmed as February’s guest speaker on the Friends of Grace Road winter lunch programme.
The no-nonsense centre-half, who was also extremely successful when moved up front by Brian Little, was a bargain at £100,000 when snapped up by then Leicester City manager Bryan Hamilton.
Walsh scored 53 times in 369 Foxes appearances and captained Leicester City on countless occasions. He also played during one of the club’s most successful periods under the leadership of Martin O’Neill.
Walsh now works for the Advanced Football Development Academy alongside another former Foxes favourite Muzzy Izzet and will conduct a Q&A as part of the lunch on Friday, February 5.
Our final lunch of the 2015-16 Friends of Grace Road winter programme on Friday, March 4 will take the form of a 2016 season preview with Leicestershire CCC players.
The lunches in February and March will cost £14.95 per person. The Fox Bar will be open at 12 noon and food served at 12.30pm in the Charles Palmer Suite.
To book for either of those lunches, please call 0116 283 2128 or email enquiries@leicestershireccc.co.uk
