The Leicestershire Cricket Society has announced its winter programme of meetings for 2016/17, featuring a host of famous guest speakers at the Fischer County Ground.
Former players, coaches, authors and broadcasters from the world of cricket will be holding court at the meetings, treating the audience to an insight into their distinguished careers.
Several former England internationals will be regaling the crowd with tales from their playing days, starting with Mike Watkinson, the former Lancashire and England all-rounder.
Paul Allott, also formerly of the Red Rose county and England, and now a commentator on Sky Sports, rounds off another varied and entertaining programme.
Ex Nottinghamshire batsman Derek Randall will also be talking to the Society about his fine career with Nottinghamshire and England.
Alan Fordham will speak about his career both as a player at Northants and as Head of Operations at ECB, and BBC Radio Leicester's chief cricket commentator Richard Rae will provide a local perspective.
Tim Jones and Richard Tomlinson will provide some history on Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, with Richard talking about the wonderful career of WG Grace.
Membership represents outstanding value at just £20 for all seven meetings. All meetings are held in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Fischer County Ground, beginning at 7.30pm. Non-members are welcome at a cost of £5 per evening.
