Young trio agree new contracts

Leicestershire CCC is delighted to announce that Atif Sheikh, Lewis Hill and Aadil Ali have agreed contract extensions at Grace Road.

Paceman Sheikh, who was in impressive form with the ball in the first innings against Glamorgan, has agreed an additional year to his current two-year deal.

Promising batsman Ali has signed a two-year extension to his contract, so both he and Sheikh will be staying at Grace Road until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Wicket-keeper/batsman Hill impressed in the Second XI last season and has penned a one-year extension that takes him through until at least the end of the 2016 campaign.

Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE said: “Atif, Lewis and Aadil are all young players with a lot of talent and potential and we are delighted that they have extended their contracts with us.

“We are looking to build something that is sustainable in the long-term at Grace Road and it’s good that these three players have committed their futures to us.”
