Academy & EPP Stars Celebrate 2025 Season

Leicestershire’s budding best came together to celebrate another memorable summer on Sunday, as the Boys’ Pathway crowned 19 winners at their annual End of Season Awards.

1,100 runs at a shade under 40 earned Ronak Rajeshekar Batter of the Year for the Academy, while leading wicket-taker Theo Marshall claimed both Bowler of the Year and Coaches’ Player of the Year. Fielder of the Year was presented to Will Macdonald.

At Under-16 level, top run-scorer Dhruv Chaudhry took home Batter of the Year, with Shahid Patel securing Bowler of the Year. Ben Macleod-Smith won Fielder of the Year, while Paul Johnson selected skipper Yatharth Naik as Coaches’ Player.

The Under-15 batting award was won by Thomas Martin, backing up his Under-14 honour in the same category last year. 16 wickets at 16.25 saw Deen Zamman scoop Bowler of the Year, while Ranvir Puri and Shayaan Fanibanda took home Fielder of the Year and Coaches’ Player respectively.

Opener Vidyut Srikumar “ who hit a spectacular 123 against Warwickshire in July “ picked up Batter of the Year for the Under-14s, with leading wicket-taker Freddie Rowe receiving Bowler of the Year. Dipesh Patel chose Aryan Banker as his Coaches’ Player of the Year, while Rafael Godsi was handed the fielding trophy.

For the youngest future Foxes, Alexander Thomason “ a century-maker during August’s victory over Lincolnshire “ won Batter of the Year, while Sam Robilliard named Bowler of the Year. Under-13s Fielder of the Year went to Henry Thomas, with Krish Patel the recipient of Coaches’ Player.

The presentation concluded with Academy graduate Sam Wood and former England and Leicestershire star-turned-Pathway Coach Phillip DeFreitas conducting a Q&A to discuss their experiences as young cricketers with the Foxes, as well as their respective journeys into professional and international cricket.

Congratulations to all our award winners, and everyone involved with the Club’s pathway on a superb 2025 season.
