Ahmed and Hull Included In England Test Squad To Tour Pakistan

Leicestershire duo Rehan Ahmed and Josh Hull have both been selected for England’s upcoming Test tour of Pakistan.

The Academy graduates are part of a 17-player squad for the three-match series, which gets underway on Monday 7 October.

6ft 7” bowler Hull made his Test debut last week, picking up three wickets in Sri Lanka’s first innings at The Oval.

20-year-old all-rounder Ahmed will be aiming to add to his four Test caps, having taken 18 wickets so far in the format.

The Foxes leg-spinner made his Test debut in Karachi during England’s last Pakistan tour in December 2022, where he became the youngest Men’s player to take a five-wicket-haul on debut.

Both youngsters have become prominent players in the Leicestershire ranks in recent seasons, with Hull taking 52 wickets since his debut in 2023, while Ahmed has picked up 67 wickets and scored 1,452 in all formats for the Club.
