Ahmed Named In England Squad For India Test Tour

Leicestershire all-rounder Rehan Ahmed has been named in England Men's 16-strong squad for the Test tour of India next year.

The five-match series, which begins in January, will see Brendon McCullum's side take on the world's number one ranked outfit in the latest round of ICC World Test Championship fixtures.

19-year-old Ahmed will be looking to add to his sole Test cap after taking the world by storm on debut against Pakistan last December. The leg-spinner claimed seven wickets, and became the youngest ever Test debutant to pick up a five-wicket-haul.

In all, Ahmed has 20 wickets in 10 international appearances across all formats, with the Academy graduate featuring in all three of England's ODIs in the West Indies earlier this month.
