Ahmed Selected For October White-Ball Tour Of New Zealand

Rehan Ahmed has been named in England’s white-ball squads to face New Zealand next month.
The Foxes’ all-rounder is in contention to feature in a trio of IT20s and ODIs, starting at the Hagley Oval on Saturday 18 October.
Ahmed - who added to his 23 England caps with two IT20 appearances against Ireland last week - has enjoyed a spectacular summer in domestic cricket, playing starring roles for Leicestershire and Trent Rockets.
As well as scoring five Championship hundreds, the 21-year-old recorded 300 runs at an average of 42.85 from nine Vitality Blast innings and finished as the joint-second leading wicket-taker in The Hundred, claiming 12 at 15.92 apiece.
The Academy graduate will be rested for Leicestershire’s final Rothesay County Championship fixture of the summer this week before flying Down Under at the beginning of October.
