August Second XI Friendlies Cancelled

Leicestershire’s three Second XI friendlies scheduled for August have been cancelled.
Logistical challenges and increased player unavailability means the 50-over friendlies against Northants (1 August), and South Asian Cricket Academy (16 August) at Uptonsteel County Ground, as well as a T20 friendly away at Northants (10 August), are unable to go ahead.
Dips Patel’s side will return to action on Monday, 28 August against Derbyshire at Loughborough Town CC for their penultimate Second Eleven Championship fixture, before concluding the season away at Hampshire (12 September).
The Foxes’ 2s are well-placed in the SEC table ahead of the season finale, enjoying an unbeaten campaign to date. Following victory over Northants last week, the side sit second, trailing leaders Lancashire by 25 points with two games in hand.
