Australian Star Piepa Cleary Set For Second Stint With Leicestershire Women

Australian bowler Piepa Cleary will make her return to Uptonsteel County Ground on Friday for Leicestershire Women’s T20 clash against Notts Outlaws.
The 27-year-old became the Foxes’ maiden overseas player last summer, making an instant impact by taking four wickets at an average of 10.5 in her three games, including a best of 3-4 against National Asian Cricket Council.
Cleary is available for six T20 games, as well as two One Day fixtures “ starting with Friday’s East Midlands Derby against Notts Outlaws at Uptonsteel County Ground (1:30pm start).
The Australian bowler has plenty of white ball experience, taking 90 wickets at an average of 24.9. She was also part of the winning Perth Scorchers team in WBBL07.
Her time playing in the UK includes playing in the inaugural
year of the Hundred for the Welsh Fire in 2021, as well as stints with Thunder,
The Blaze, and Western Storm in recent seasons.
