Ben Green Loan Extended For July Championship Matches

Ben Green’s loan spell with Leicestershire has been extended for a further two Rothesay County Championship matches.
The latest agreement with Somerset will see the all-rounder return to the Foxes for this month’s trips to Derbyshire and Kent.
Green has been an ever-present for Leicestershire in first-class cricket this term, scoring 283 runs and taking 29 wickets to fire Alfonso Thomas’ side to the top of Division Two after nine rounds.
The 27-year-old, who is the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the division, has established himself as an integral part of the Foxes’ attack, and registered his maiden first-class five-fer during victory against Gloucestershire in April.
Leicestershire’s bowling unit will also be boosted by the return of Ian Holland, who missed June’s set of Championship matches while on duty with Washington Freedom.
