Commercial Monthly Round-up | July 2024

Hello and welcome to Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s monthly update.

If I can first of all introduce myself, my name is John Williams, and I joined the Club as Commercial Director in April. My background is 20 years working in football in Commercial at Huddersfield Town and FC Halifax Town, enjoying cup final wins and Premier League promotions, so I hope to bring that knowledge and good fortune to the world of cricket.

Since I moved to Leicestershire from Yorkshire, I’ve made it my mission to familiarise myself with Leicester and get to know the people who pledge their invaluable support to the Club. I’ve attended many events and met all partners, as well as local businesses and business leaders, and it’s been a pleasure to meet them although I know there are many more people still to meet.

As you’ll see from my report below, we have an awful lot of opportunities and events going on at Uptonsteel County Ground, so I would encourage you to show your support for the Club in any way you can.

We also have tickets available for our final 3 home T20 matches, with the team in a fantastic position to qualify for the quarter-final stages and add a record-breaking fourth title to our trophy cabinet. Alternatively, we have hospitality available in the new pitchside pods - which caters for 6 guests with pizza and drinks as part of the package - Beer & Balti in the Marquee or a three-course meal in the Charles Palmer Suite “ if you would like to book your seats, please email clairefinn@leicestershireccc.co.uk
