Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s groundstaff have joined forces with the Commercial team to help spread the word about the launch of 2025 Memberships by transforming their mowers into moving advertising displays.
As the groundstaff prepare Uptonsteel County Ground for an exciting end of the season, they are also playing a key role in driving the Foxes' membership campaign, aptly named “Join Our Journey.â€
Starting Thursday, 29 August, Leicestershire CCC memberships will go on sale, and the groundstaff are determined to make sure everyone knows with their innovative approach. The award-winning team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the pitch is in perfect condition, are now front and centre in helping the club grow its membership base after displaying stickers on the front of the grass collectors of their mowers, turning the essential tools into eye-catching mobile billboards.
The “Join Our Journey†campaign invites fans, both old and new, to be part of the exciting future at Leicestershire CCC. With membership offering access to a full season of cricket, including Men’s first-class games and the highly anticipated arrival of Tier 2 status for Leicestershire Women, it represents exceptional value. This initiative is not just about attending matches; it’s about being a crucial part of the Club’s ambitions and long-term success.
Claude Henderson, Director of Cricket, expressed his appreciation for the groundstaff’s creative efforts: “Our Ground staff have always been essential to our operations, but this season, they’ve gone above and beyond to help us promote our membership campaign. Their creativity and dedication are exactly what makes this club so special. We’re all pulling together to ensure that Leicestershire CCC continues to grow on and off the field.â€
Memberships will be available for purchase from 29 August both online at www.leicestershireccc.co.uk, in person at Uptonsteel County Ground, and via calling the ticket office on 0116 283 2128. With the Club’s ambitious plans for the future, including developing more homegrown talent and competing for further silverware, now is the perfect time for supporters to #JoinTheJourney.
