Double headers have become an increasingly popular part of the matchday experience at Uptonsteel County Ground in recent years, and this summer we’re going bigger than ever!
With three double servings of Vitality Blast action to look forward to, including a fever-pitch Derby Day and Leicestershire Women’s first T20 home game as a Tier Two side, let’s take a closer look at what lies in wait…
FOXES VS RAPIDS | 15 JUNE
Kicking us off, Leicestershire will be looking to ride the wave of some early campaign success when both sides take on the Rapids on Sunday, 15 June.
The opening game on home soil for Becki Brooker’s side in League Two of the Blast “ and an inaugural home T20 meeting against Worcestershire - the Foxes will look to put on a show befitting of the occasion. It’ll be their first weekend double header, following FOUR consecutive Friday wins across the previous two seasons.
Meanwhile, Leicestershire Men have enjoyed a super run at home to the Rapids in recent summers “ winning four of the last five Blast meetings in Aylestone.
A fixture that saw Josh Hull clutch a final over thriller in 2024, as well as Josh Inglis’ blistering century and a record-breaking day for Callum Parkinson in 2021, expect more fireworks in 2025.

FOXES VS OUTLAWS + BLAZE VS THUNDER | 19 JUNE
Just four days later, two more intense clashes on the bill. A fiery contest always marked on Foxes fans’ calendars “ the day will be headlined by Leicestershire vs Nottinghamshire in a battle for East Midlands bragging rights.
It’s a fixture which has produced some unforgettable moments, including FOUR centuries for Foxes, the most Leicestershire have collectively scored against any opponent.
July’s win over the Outlaws at Uptonsteel County Ground levelled the head-to-head record with 18 wins apiece. Who will get their noses in front when two of T20’s titans collide again on 19 June?
Victorious on each of their last three T20 visits to Leicester, The Blaze have been on fire at Grace Road. With a Tier One Blast contest versus Lancashire Thunder, pitting the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tammy Beaumont against Kate Cross and Sophie Ecclestone, will their hot streak continue?

FOXES VS YORKSHIRE | 18 JULY
After a thumping opening round victory over Yorkshire at Uptonsteel County Ground this year, 2025’s meeting is at the opposite end of the schedule as part of ‘Friday Finale’.
A potentially pivotal encounter with qualification on the line, Grace Road is guaranteed to be rocking. Leicestershire will be looking to add to their strong record over the White Rose county - with 18 victories and one tie from 31 meetings standing as the Club’s best head-to-head record in T20s.
It’ll also be the business end of the group stage for Leicestershire Women. Their penultimate North Group fixture, and a final home push, it’s the perfect opportunity for the Foxes Family to come together and propel the side to Finals Day.
