Leicestershire are looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing slump to the Yorkshire Vikings on Tuesday evening.

Durham responded with a four-wicket win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks on home soil on Tuesday, and travel to Trent Bridge to face the Outlaws on Thursday evening ahead of their trip to Grace Road.

It’ll be a day to remember at Uptonsteel County Ground, as Leicestershire Women host National Asian Cricket Council in the opening act of a double header (12:00pm start) “ the first time the Club’s Women have played before the Men’s side at Grace Road on the same day.

The two faced off at Seat Unique Riverside in the reverse fixture on Sunday, with the Foxes taking victory by seven wickets thanks to a magnificent 77-run stand between Colin Ackermann and Louis Kimber, who hit his career-best 55 not out off just 28 balls.

Josh Hull, making just his second T20 appearance, starred with the ball to set up the chase “ claiming 3/35 from his allocation.

Ashton Turner smashed 46 off 25 deliveries in the reverse fixture and is a proven thorn in the Foxes’ side, having struck 32 off 18 and taken 1/13 in the match at Grace Road in 2022.

The Australian 2,591 runs in the format from his 166 matches “ striking at an impressive 141 with an average of 24.44.
