England Women To Return To Leicester In 2025

England Women will return to Uptonsteel County Ground in 2025 for a One Day International against West Indies.

Heather Knight's side are set to play the second Metro Bank ODI of a three-match series against the Windies on Wednesday 4 June at Grace Road as part of an exciting summer of Men's and Women's international cricket.

Uptonsteel County Ground has become a popular home for England's Women in recent years, hosting ODIs and tour matches in each of the past eight seasons.

The series will serve as a crucial part of England's preparations for the 2025 Cricket World Cup, hosted in India, with the Three Lions looking to repeat their 2017 triumph.

June's fixture at Uptonsteel County Ground will give fans the opportunity to watch a wealth of world-class talent, with England all-rounder Nat-Sciver Brunt currently ranked the world's top batter in the ICC rankings, while Sophie Ecclestone and Kate Cross occupy the top two bowling places.

Sciver-Brunt captained the side to a huge 161-run over Sri Lanka on the side's last 50-over visit to Leicester in September last year.

A 'Register Your Interest' window will begin on Thursday, 29 August via the Club's official website, with further details to be released next week.
