Wed 22 Jan 2025

Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation will be hosting a Disability Talent ID session for disabled players to trial for Super9s and D40 county squads next month.
Players with any form of disability (including learning difficulties) and any level of experience are invited too attend the session on Thursday 20th February, 3-5pm, at Uptonsteel County Ground.
Dips Patel; Leicestershire CCC Second XI Head Coach, and Rob Eynon; previous Super9s and D40 Head Coach at Warwickshire, will be on hand to observe and offer their expertise to players.
The Foundation will be looking for players to start either a Super9s or D40 squad.
Super 9s cricket is an entry-level cricket format for players taking part in county-level disability cricket. Super 9s, like Super 1s, is played with a softball but has a heavier focus on applying cricketing skills and knowledge in a more structured competitive format.
The D40 competition is the ECB's national hardball disability offer, the top tier of domestic county-level disability cricket. D40 games are hardball, 40 overs per side, and follows the same laws and regulations as a traditional county game of cricket, including powerplays and a 30-yard fielding circle.
