Four Foxes Depart Women’s Squad Ahead of 2026 Season

Leicestershire County Cricket Club can confirm that Bethan Solomon, Molly Abraham and Sophie Bennett will leave the women’s squad ahead of the 2026 season, while Scarlett Hughes’ loan spell concluded at the end of the 2025 campaign.
The quartet follow Francesca Sweet and Laura Croft, who departed at the close of 2025.
Solomon and Abraham both joined the Foxes ahead of the 2025 season.
Solomon, 24, arrived from Northamptonshire, progressing through their pathway from the age of nine. Abraham made the move from Yorkshire after a nine-year association with their academy structure.
Bennett departs after eight years with the Foxes, having joined the club in 2017 and developed through the junior ranks.
The 22-year-old wicketkeeper has contributed nearly 40 dismissals behind the stumps and over 450 first-team runs, including her career-best 57 against Shropshire in 2024.
Hughes spent the 2025 campaign on loan from The Blaze, featuring seven times in the T20 competition.
The 23-year-old top-order batter scored 150 runs, highlighted by an impressive 47 against Middlesex on Finals Day.
