Academy graduates Rehan Ahmed and Josh Hull have both been awarded central contacts for 2025-2026 by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Ahmed, who was first awarded a central contract in 2024, has seen his deal extended by a further 12 months after enjoying a spectacular 2025 campaign. The 21-year-old scored 1,337 runs and recorded 52 wickets across formats, receiving five honours at the Club's End of Season Awards.
The youngest player to debut for England in each format, the all-rounder has 23 international caps to his name, claiming 45 wickets en route.
6ft 7†bowler Hull, who made his England debut against Sri Lanka in September 2024, retains his Development Contract for the upcoming year.
Both played a key role in propelling Leicestershire to the Division Two title this summer. Ahmed scored 760 runs at 50.66 “ including five centuries “ while taking 23 wickets, with Hull snaring 19 wickets at 30.68.
The duo’s next international involvement will be for England Lions, playing four multi-day fixtures for Freddie Flintoff’s side during the next month.
