Foxes Masterclasses: Learn From LCCC's Coaching Elite

Calling all cricket lovers! Have you dreamt of honing your skills with the guidance of some of the game’s greats? Well, now’s your chance.

In a county first, Leicestershire CCC will be launching an exclusive range of coaching masterclasses for cricketers to develop their technique in a specialist facet of the game, with the likes of James Taylor, Paul Nixon and Alfonso Thomas all set to impart their wisdom.

Leicestershire’s elite First Team and Pathway coaches will offer their expertise across spin, batting, and fast bowling-focussed sessions, with two-hour masterclasses commencing in May.

Sessions, which will take place in the Mike Turner Indoor Cricket Centre, will be divided into two-hour slots for 11“14-year-olds (6-8pm) and two hours for those over the age of 15 (8-10pm).

Masterclasses will run in groups of nine, allowing for three specialist Foxes coaches to provide the best possible hands-on mentoring.

The group of renowned LCCC coaches includes:

• Paul Nixon “ Leicestershire CCC Head Coach and ex-England International (Batting)

• James Taylor “ Leicestershire CCC Batting Coach and ex-England International (Batting)

• Alfonso Thomas “ Leicestershire CCC Bowling Coach and ex-South Africa International (Fast Bowling)

• Claude Henderson “ Leicestershire CCC Director of Cricket and ex-South Africa International (Spin Bowling)

• Dips Patel “ Leicestershire CCC Second XI Head Coach and ECB Level Four Master Coach (Batting)

• Jigar Naik - Leicestershire CCC Head of Talent Pathway, playing for Leicestershire for more than 10 years (Spin Bowling)

• Phil DeFreitas - Leicestershire CCC Pathway Coach and ex-England International (Batting/Fast Bowling)

• Dieter Klein “ Leicestershire CCC Pathway Coach with 346 career wickets (Fast Bowling)

• Dave Whitmore “ Leicestershire CCC Pathway Coach and ECB Level Four Master Coach (Fast Bowling)

• Paul Johnson “ Leicestershire CCC Pathway Coach with more than 30,000 career runs (Batting)

Foxes Masterclasses will launch next month, with fast bowling sessions to run on Wednesday, 10 May and Monday, 22 May; batting sessions on Wednesday, 24 May and Tuesday, 30 May; and a spin masterclass on Monday, 15 May.
