Future Designers Shine as Lionheart Trust T20 Kit Competition Winner is Unveiled at the Uptonsteel County Ground

Leicestershire County Cricket Club proudly hosted a special presentation ceremony this week to honour the talented students behind this year’s Lionheart Educational Trust T20 kit design competition, in partnership with the Club’s official kit supplier.
The winning design, created by Vaneesha Haval, was revealed and presented to her in a special frame by Aimee Colquhoun and Holly Whitfield, two of Leicestershire’s standout female cricketers. The presentation took place at the Uptonsteel County Ground and was attended by key figures from both the Trust and the Club, celebrating the powerful collaboration between education and sport.
Joining the celebration were LCCC CEO Sean Jarvis, Women’s Head Coach Stephen Franklin, and Men’s First Team players Ben Mike and Liam Trevaskis, alongside Neil Lewis, Head of Enterprise at the Lionheart Educational Trust.
Vaneesha’s vibrant and dynamic design will proudly be worn by Leicestershire’s Men’s and Women’s T20 sides this summer, capturing the spirit of the next generation and celebrating local creativity.
Also recognised on the day were the talented finalists: Owen Cole, Amber Roe, Shameer Ali, and Maya Huruna.
Each finalist was applauded for their imaginative entries and received certificates and signed merchandise to mark their outstanding efforts.
Sean Jarvis, CEO of Leicestershire CCC, said:
“This initiative is a fantastic example of how sport can inspire and empower young people. The quality of entries this year was phenomenal, and Vaneesha’s winning design will be a real standout on the pitch. We’re proud to work with the Lionheart Educational Trust to bring this project to life.”
The kit will be available in the Club Shop in the lead-up to the Vitality Blast starting tomorrow.
