Giving The Gift of Cricket | Club Launches ‘Cricketmas’ Campaign

This Christmas, Leicestershire County Cricket Club is launching a heartwarming new initiative, ‘Cricketmas’, aimed at spreading festive cheer through the gift of cricket.

The campaign is appealing to local businesses and business leaders to support Cricketmas by purchasing Club Memberships, which will be donated to unprivileged or afflicted members of our diverse communities.

For every 2025 Membership donated, Leicestershire CCC will match it with an additional Membership, doubling the positive impact on those in need.

The initiative has already gained the support of numerous businesses, including Melton Building Society, who have become the first business to step forward and join the gifting campaign.

Sean Jarvis, CEO of Leicestershire CCC, said: "Cricketmas is our way of making the festive season more meaningful to the people of Leicestershire. Our aim is to unite with local businesses to spread the Christmas spirit far and wide through the joys of cricket.

“At Leicestershire, we believe Membership provides more than just a match ticket. It offers an invitation to join a passionate community, share in thrilling matchday experiences, and create lifelong memories.

“Whether it’s the elderly, vulnerable adults, or underprivileged children, we want to give the gift cricket to as many members of our community as possible. To achieve that, we need the support of our local businesses.

“We’re delighted to see the likes of Melton Building Society taking the lead in helping launch this campaign, and we invite other businesses to join us in making this Christmas one to remember."

Each Membership purchased will provide its recipient access to an entire season of live cricket action for Leicestershire Men and Women at Uptonsteel County Ground, as well as Member-only benefits like exclusive event invites, discounts and priority ticketing.

In addition to this charitable membership initiative, the Cricketmas Campaign will feature a variety of exciting activities and perks for LCCC members and fans, including:

-            An interactive “12 Days of Cricketmas” competition, offering fans the chance to win unique prizes.

-            Exclusive retail discounts for 2025 LCCC members.

-            Plus additional events and initiatives aimed at keeping cricket top-of-mind through the winter season.
