Green Called Up For Ireland And Bangladesh Youth ODI Series

Alex Green has been rewarded for his scintillating form with a call-up to two Youth One Day International squads this month.

The 18-year-old is set to face Ireland for a one-off fixture at Loughborough on Tuesday (2 September) before a five-match series against Bangladesh, starting on Friday (5 September).

Green’s selection follows an outstanding 50-over campaign for the Foxes, during which the Academy graduate claimed 18 wickets at an average of 20, the joint most in this year’s competition.

The 6ft 7” seamer has already featured on 12 occasions for the Young Lions across formats, taking 27 wickets.
