Green Selected For England U19 ODI Tri-Series

Leicestershire bowler Alex Green has been selected for England Men U19’s Youth ODI tri-series against Scotland Men U19s and Ireland Men U19s later this month.
The 17-year-old forms part of a 16-player squad for the quartet of One Day Internationals at Loughborough, which begin on Thursday 12 September.
Green is one of four capped Young Lions in the squad, having featured on three occasions against Sri Lanka earlier this season.
The Academy scholar also made his Leicestershire First Team debut last month, picking up four wickets in three matches for the Foxes en route to the semi-finals of the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Taking the unique step of making his senior debut before his Second XI debut, Green took three for 50 on his Seconds bow during victory over Nottinghamshire last week before linking up with the First Team in Glamorgan.
Green will come up against fellow Academy star, Jamie Dunk, who starred for Scotland U19s at this year's ICC U19s World Cup with 263 runs at 65.75 from his four innings.
